PRERANA scholarship 2021-2022 odisha | Eligibility and application

The PRERANA Scholarship is a post-matric scholarship portal developed by ST & SC Development and Minority & Other Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha. Launched with the overarching goal of providing financial assistance to the country's poorest economically disadvantaged students, PRERANA aims to reduce the process associated with scholarship applications and timely payment of tuition fees to the relevant student bank account.

As given below are some of the key functions of an online learning site:

  •  The site allows students to submit their applications online at any given time from any location.
  •  Helps students track the status of their app.
  •  Helps students re-apply the same qualifications in a new college course.
  •  There is also a bar-coding provision that allows officials to filter out false applications.
  •  Students and educational institutions receive SMS and email alerts at various stages of  processing.
  •  Applications may be renewed (submitting last year's applications) only by institutions.
  •  Institutions benefit from automated and comprehensive review of learning programs.
  •  Scholarship punishment process has been simplified for the Sanctioning Authority.
  •  Automatic withdrawal of bursaries into student bank account.
  •  It has been easier for the Department and the Federal Government to monitor bursaries.
